Before you lose your phone you need to set up the app so it knows where to post your iPhone’s whereabouts to. Once you lose the phone, just access the app through your desktop computer and you’ll be able to find your lost iPhone in a jiff.
There are a few downsides though -you must have the internet on and enough battery juice to work the app. Even so, if you’re someone who is good about keeping your phone charged and always leave the internet on, there shouldn’t be any problems.
