Based on The American Heart Association’s calorie count, Buzzfeed have created a set of graphics will help you recognise the unhealthiest fast food you could feed your child. Kids aged four to eight should only be eating between 1200 and 1400 calories a day, and nine to thirteen year olds should not be exceeding 1800. So, if you take your child to a fast food chain, then at least you’ll be able to get the healthier option.
In this first graphic we can see that the ‘healthiest’ kids meal that McDonalds do is chicken Mcnuggets, apple juice apple slices and strawberry yogurt. Meanwhile, the worst possible thing you could buy you kid is a cheeseburger, chocolate milk, fries and a strawberry yogurt. Check out these other chains so you can figure out what’s best:
