Along comes A Soft Murmur, offering ambient sounds for those who need some sound to sleep, but can’t sleep with the noise of engines in the street or cats in the alley. So far, ten ambient sounds are offered:

What is really cool about this project by Gabriel Martin is that you don’t have to choose which of the ten sounds to listen to. You can mix and match. For instance, you can play wind and crickets together. Or wind and crickets and singing bowl together. What is really even cooler, is that you can change the intensity of each sound. So you can turn up the crickets all the way, but add in just a hint of wind in the background. Right now, I am listening to a crackling fireplace, with some rain and the singing bowl in the Background.
